I recently found OKMap software during a websearch and am very interested in exploring it's possibilities. I am creating custom transparent overlay maps and TourGuides for motorcyclists. I am using several programs to accomplish this. "Extra Poi Editor, Basecamp, TypWiz, GPSMapEdit, MapsetToolkit and cGPSMapper just to name a few. I am hoping that I can use OKMap to consolidate some of my work to a single program. Honestly, I have yet to fully read the manual or begin full explorations, but if anyone can let me know from experience if OKMap could suit my needs please let me know. Taking a quick look I did not see anything related to Garmin .img files or TomTom .ov2

I've never done that and no user asked me before, but I think something to convert .img files to .shp and viceversa already exists.
Try to search "How to convert img to shp" on the net.
Please, if you find some usable software please post you experience in this forum.
Thanks.

Thank you for that info and speedy reply. I haven't explored using Raster Maps yet but may eventually. I may try converting to ESRI which I am also unfamiliar with at this point, to possibly use OKMap to edit the waypoints (POI), and polylines (tracks)then convert back to GPX or img files. Do you have a sugestion for a conversion program to use?

Thanks again, I look forward to exploring more of OKMap.

OkMap essentially works with raster maps. This the primary objective.
OkMap can also works with some vectorial data (points, multipoints, polylines and polygons) that uses as overlay on a raster map (to enrich it) or standalone. OkMap can also design new vectorial data with mouse.
The only format that OkMap can currently import /export is shape esri files (.shp).
OkMap isn't able to work with .img or .ov2 formats (you should convert to shape esri file before).
Happy new year!!!!!!
